How to Lose Weight

The first key to weight loss is to burn more calories than you consume everyday.

Simple eh?

Your body uses the food you give it as fuel to complete its tasks. Think of your body like a car (with a very flexible gas tank) - the food is the gas and by driving around you burn the gas off.

Even when the car is still, if the engine is ticking over then the fuel is being burnt.

So the key is to eat the right amount of the right type of fuel.

Then to get rid of the excess fuel you have (stored as fat around your mid section mainly) you need to exert you body’s motor more than you would.

Just to let you know that weight is gained in men first around the waist (women it's the bum), then elsewhere. So when loosing it you'll have to loose it all over to finally get a flat stomach.

So you can eat mountains of salad and do little exercise

Or eat normally and exercise

Or eat a lot but exercise even more.

Doing weight training and building bigger muscles will cause your body to burn more while you are just sitting around.

Also exercising before you eat will speed up the way the body handles the new fuel... if the motor is still running then the new fuel will be used more efficiently and less will be stored up.
